More about Waseem
I am the Managing partner of the firm, and as a result it is my responsibility to ensure that all our operations run smoothly, and that we continue to provide the best possible service to our clients.
I also have my own caseload, which represents a mix of cases including asylum, judicial review, visa applications and appeals. I also focus on advising business in relation to immigration laws and regulations that apply to them.
It is a privilege to work with and help clients resolve their immigration matters. Achieving a positive outcome at the end of the case makes the work ever more rewarding.
Straight-forward advice, and attention to detail.
As a law student, I wanted to work in commercial law. If I’m honest, I was attracted by the glitz and glamour of working in shiny tall office buildings and the salaries that came with it. However, my 10 month stint in the asylum department at Sheffield Law Centre changed all of that. At the time, I had worked closely with asylum seekers that had fled horrific abuse and persecution from counties like Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. I felt that my work at the time made a real difference and I haven’t looked back since.
Being appointed as a fee-paid judge of the First Tier Tribunal, being one of the youngest at the time, at the age of 33.
Assisting an asylum seeker, that had been a victim of torture in his home country, and was detained and facing imminent removal from the UK. Following my involvement, I manage to secure his release from detention, proceed with his asylum claim in the UK, which eventually led to him receiving a grant of refugee status.

Tasaddat Hussain, Leading Immigration & Human Rights Barrister Garden Court North Chambers
It is a true honour to have the chance to work with the brilliant and devoted Mr Waseem Nazir and his professionalism. For the last two years and a half of our asylum claim journey, Mr Waseem was always there with us. Since the first meeting with him we felt safe as he frankly assessed our position. He enlightened us during the Home Office interview and worked around the hour to have all the documents submitted on time when requested by the case worker. We will always feel in debt to him for the emotional support during times of despair. He taught us patience and persistence and his strategies bore the fruit of success finally when we have been granted the refugee status.
